Apr 12, 2022 · Keybr is a great tool to learn the letters and up to (imo) 30-40wpm, then you start to run into issues. For me I would train my finger to hit, let’s say v, every word for 3-4 lessons well when it switched to c I would instinctively hit v instead which had the annoying effect of throwing v back into the lesson rotation.

Keybr is just fun to use and effective at building touchtyping. You can even provide characters often used in programming. Disclaimer: you have to use a random string generator site to generate multiple randomized strings of the characters you so choose then place it into keybr.

Nov 25, 2020 · I complete each lesson to 5 stars before I move along, and the game has been adjusting my target speed as I improve, which has kept things challenging. I still check in to keybr every now and then, and my speed is consistently improving - top speed gone from high 40s to 66.6, and averages during a session from low 30s to upper 50s-low 60s.

I think Keybr is great and it helped me improve my typing speed from ~50wpm to ~75wpm in a few months of 5 minutes of practice a day. I recommend using Keybr mainly to practice and supplement that with typeracer, as Keybr doesn't really incorporate capitalization, punctuation and other special symbols.

Later after 2 months I created another account and turned all keys green in 2 days. You just need to be accurate, think before every key. Forget about time and speed, every single key hit must be accurate.
