2019年4月27日 · It's 5mm from the top of the switch plate to the PCB, and the thickness of your plate should be 1.5mm to let switches clip in. About 3.5mm to PCB left. And the common PCB thickness is about 1.6mm, you can work out an estimate to the bottom of the case with that as well. Guidelines, not always accurate.

2017年9月18日 · An acrylic plate will definitely affect both the sound and feel of the board, but not necessarily negatively. Acrylic absorbs wire a bit of sound, so it should be quite a bit quieter. It is also more flexible so it should soften bottom out feel a bit.

2021年12月27日 · KLE may help to get a plate layout and import it, I’ve never used it, but from scratch the plate hole is 14 x 14 mm and the total keycap space per switch is like 19.05mm or something. Some google research will help a lot, and I found everything I needed to start modeling a plate pretty quickly.

2018年10月21日 · Also, switches+keycaps hide a good portion of the plate, anyway. It might not be the "best" way to do it, but I'd say it's going to be fine. If you want a flawless result, foam blockers sound like a decent option.

2020年11月27日 · very late but i had this same problem on my keyboard plate, it was bent and i fixed it with a hammer. place the plate on a flat surface like wood or metal or simply on the floor and flip it over so it is flat on the surface and then hit the area that is bent with a hammer or heavy object but dont use too much force

2017年5月17日 · oh dear what keyboard do you have? desoldering is required to lift the plate for sure if you cant get a stainless plate for this specific pcb (either custom or original) sandblasting the rusty plate is a good option whilst removing all the paint also removes the dust, then use rust converter on the blank board that seals and prevent further damages due to rust and finaly a proper paint job
