2017年3月5日 · Ken Swan has a nice, but somewhat closely held, catalog of boats. He never got as wide of exposure as he possibly could have because he charged for a printed catalog of his designs, rather than showing them all and selling the plans for a slightly higher cost.

2004年11月23日 · Does anyone have any experience building any of Ken Swan's 13 to 16' skiffs? He has several models that look appealing to my eye. I also like his external framing at the turn of the bilge; that's gotta help protect that vulnerable area.

2012年12月25日 · Swan's boats seem to be in two catagories, the rockered hulls for rowing and the flat bottoms for planing, his plans and instructions are done well and for an amateur like myself they're not complicated builds.

2001年6月1日 · Ken Swan estimated that it takes 60 hours to build this 13' Nez Perce Fishing Skiff, but it took Mike Fuller 600 hours. Mike used marine plywood for planking, covered the bottom with 6 oz fiberglass and epoxy, used African mahogany for the frames, and Philippine mahogany for the seats, and yellow cedar for the floor boards.

2002年7月3日 · This is a Ken Swan Design 15' Chica rowboat. Herb Fisher built it of fir marine plywood over mahogany frames, covered with WEST epoxy. He launched it on July 4, 2001 in the Toms River, NJ. He writes that the rowing performance is excellent and he uses it for rowing and crabbing in the Toms River.
