The Kliment Voroshilov (KV; Russian: Климент Ворошилов, КВ) tanks are a series of Soviet heavy tanks named after the Soviet defence commissar and politician Kliment Voroshilov who operated with the Red Army during World War II.

The KV-122 was a proposed Soviet upgrade to the KV-85, designed with the intent of being able to compete with the firepower and armour of German heavy tanks near the end of World War II. The idea was to equip the existing KV-85s with copies of the turret and gun of the IS-2.

2023年2月9日 · As mentioned above, I've been treating the KV-122 as a Tank Destroyer and / or Support Tank. Its penetration and firepower are phenomenal, and straight up obliterate anything where the shot even grazes the crew compartment.

2023年8月10日 · The KV-122 is quite a formidable tank, being based on the KV-1 chassis that can still bounce here and there some shots when angled well, having okay mobility for a heavy tank and having full turret traverse. Imo, it's literally crucial to make a viable 5.3 line-up. The Su-122P is also pretty good.

The KV-122 is oddly similar to what the KV-1S was ages ago; a surprisingly fast and mobile heavy with a terrifying 122mm gun, trading a slightly weaker armor profile for the privilege of massive alpha damage.
