Central Texas public radio station KNCT-FM signed on the air in November 1970 from studios located on the campus of Central Texas College in Killeen, Texas. During the early years, KNCT-FM operated on a limited broadcast schedule of 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. Monday through Friday.
