Justice Court hears probable cause, arraignments, preliminary hearings, misdemeanor and traffic trials, bond forfeitures, evictions, small claims and civil matters where the amount in controversy does not exceed $15,000.

Limited Jurisdiction courts handling evictions, small claims, protective orders, traffic cases, civil suits and misdemeanor offenses.

Henderson Justice Court hears the following types of cases: motor vehicle/traffic citations, small claims cases not exceeding $10,000, evictions, protective orders, misdemeanors, and civil actions that do not exceed $15,000.

It is the mission of the Reno Justice Court to promote and preserve the rule of law and protection of property rights by providing a fair, independent, and impartial forum for the peaceful resolution of legal conflicts according to the law.

For the convenience of the public, Sparks Justice Court will be open expanded hours, Monday - Thursday from 7:00 am - 5:30 pm, including the noon hour, effective January 6, 2025. Sparks Justice Court will be closed on Fridays and holidays.
