Founder Josh Loeb hosted an intimate series of dinners at his tree house-like home nestled in Rustic Canyon. He’d shop at the nearby Santa Monica Farmers’ Market for the best produce and come up with different themes for each night.

Partner Josh Loeb oversees the beverage program at The Dutchess and supports overall operations. Josh became inspired to open his first restaurant after doing dinner pop-ups out of his childhood home in Santa Monica’s Rustic Canyon.

Before opening in December 2006, Founder Josh Loeb’s dream was to create a neighborhood restaurant that was cozy, but had a deep commitment to craft and the incredible bounty of ingredients that come from Southern California.
