2019年12月30日 · Now I swapped back on the flat bar and have the H bar loaned out to a friend. I've got my name down for a new Krampus and plan on trying out the Jones bar again for a bikepacking setup. Also, I'm 6'3" with a lanky build for reference. The stem length and height is pretty important to dial in with the Jones bars.

2017年5月14日 · Considering putting drops on my currently flat-bar "adventure" rig, the impetus of course being more available hand positions. However, it will require a significant overhaul of other components. The Jones H bar looks appealing on both fronts--more hand/body positions, and will work with my existing brakes/shifter/etc.

2018年1月3日 · Some people find the Jones bar limiting for more 'technical' biking, then again, some don't. I fall in the former camp, and prefer a bar with a lot less sweep and more width when I'm truly riding techy stuff. However, for bikepacking, gravel riding and cruising along on mellower trails, I think they are certainly worth trying if you are curious.

2020年5月12日 · If you're building a cost-no-object bike around an H bar- don't consider the SG. If you're building a budget utilitarian bike- don't consider the tapered. They aren't the same, but it's a small thing on this sort of bike.

2009年12月24日 · The Jones ti. bars are lighter and more compliant. The Titec versions a little heavier and worlds cheaper. The H-bar has a little different shape; it has some rise (1" maybe?) and actually angles forward so you don't have to use a longer stem. The J-bar is a fairly close copy of the Jones bar, but that it has a 31.8 clamp area.

2016年8月16日 · A wider flat (0-9*) bar works better than a Jones at the 720-740mm position, but hand numbness sets in. The SQlab 311 worked well for an aggressive bar for me and with the inner horns (SQlab makes some of their own short inner horns) it allowed me to changes positions on the straights and pulls to greatly reduce hand issues.
