2024年5月4日 · If you imagine it to be a left hand thread or stand on your head on the floor it makes sense. Use a 3/4" open end wrench to turn the lock nut down and the knob comes off easily. A person used to be able to buy the shift pattern disc in the center of the knob. Maybe they're still available. I'd check EBAY. Good Luck, L.M.

2010年11月19日 · Just thought I'd share my shifters. Believe it or not same Jeep old picture, and rebuilt picture. Old shifter has L,1,2,3, and R. The new shifter knob is a Jegs pistol grip shifter and is quite nice and comfortable, just a bit of a knuckle buster with a T-18 granny low gear!

2008年7月15日 · The best thing to do is to take the shifter and match the thread size and then thread it based on what you have. What I can tell you is that 24 is VERY fine and sounds a little odd to me given that the ones I have seen on the shelves in the auto stores are 3/8x13 tpi.

2012年10月10日 · The internal metal clip gradually unclips when you just wiggle clockwise/counterclockwise about 3-5 degrees while pulling the shifter. shifter pops off instantly. if all else fails and you get frustrated, and you don't want to destroy your stock shifter, wrap it in cloth, then lock a vice clamp plier onto it.

2010年10月22日 · Removal of the shifter knob or reorienting the knob so the shift pattern doesn't read upside down or sideways is pretty straight forward. This of course can be done in the Jeep, I just took mine off so I can take better photographs for demonstration purposes. The technique is identical for the shift knob on the Transfer case shifter.
