2007年3月26日 · Well, over the years the JL8 proved troublesome and my regular disc brakes are still perfect with the original rotors and calipers. They work really good too.:thumbsup: But. About 25 years ago Hotrod Magazine did a story on the first gen's that was mainly about the 69. It called the JL8 option the #1 Camaro option of ALL time.

2000年6月26日 · A true documented JL8 car is very unique and makes for something different. It sure seems like everyone adds the crossram to the JL8 cars to enhance the value further. I'm adding the crossram because of the "wow" factor and I always wanted one.

2013年1月18日 · The JL8 was great in it's day (44 years ago) but the technology of today.....well, better and cheaper as was pointed out. You have to decide if you want 69 stock items or go with the new and improved. In any case, the car will never be a true JL8 car, it will just be considered a 69 with a cobbled together brake system. alan

2023年8月30日 · I know the reproduction stamped steel parts can be had for like $900 bucks, and I wonder what the quality is on them. Holley sells some nice JL8 rear caliper brackets and dust shields that will bolt up to the standard small flange 10 and 12 bolt axle housings. It seems the JL8 package could be one of the best options when running a 15" wheel.

2009年11月4日 · JL8 Master Cylinder is also different as well as brake hard lines/and no brake metering/equalizer block on the side of the subframe. Front JL8 calipers are regularily sold on ebay or by Lonestar Caliper, they are different from Corvette, there is only 1 boss on the rear of the caliper were the brake line attaches.

2002年3月12日 · The JL8 uses a drum brake hub, and a normal vette caliper on a special JL8 only caliper bracket. A disc brake Camaro spindle is used which is identical to a drum spindle except the drum spindle has a longer upper boss. You have to cut down the boss to put either regular discs on, or use the JL8.
