2021年6月16日 · I have both the j35 V6 and k24 4cyl with 150k miles and wondering if valve adjustment is really needed. The engines sound normal and have mostly Highway miles. Also, why does Honda use fixed valves rather than hydraulic (which adjust themselves over time)?

2021年11月15日 · I tend to agree with OP's assessment of the J35Z6 Honda v6. However, I think OP needs to also give credit to the J series' torque. It is more akin to the shove a v8 gives rather than a N/A v6. I love my ATS, but the LFX is feels out-torqued by the J35 in an Acura TL. The dyno charts on the engines don't reflect this feeling though, maybe gearing?

J35 is 25+ years old. Excellent V6. Timing belt maintenance is a bummer but the engine is great. Had a 21 passport and went to a 21 Ridgeline. Loved the engine and 9speed well enough just wanted a truck bed. 2 Reply Award Rememberthat1

2024年3月30日 · J35's in the Accord, and especially with the automatic transmission, are high compression engines that are highly intolerant of forced induction. Even modest boost on one will cause detonation, demolished pistons, and blown head gaskets.
