INEX will shortly make our first new major release of IXP Manager in over three years. Barry discusses what triggers a 'major' new release and some new features, including member diagnostics, a new configuration UI, and peer-to-peer graph ordering.

IXP Manager is the most trusted IXP platform worldwide. It is a full stack management system for Internet eXchange Points (IXPs) which includes an administration and customer portal; provides end to end provisioning; and both teaches and implements best practice.

This release of IXP Manager introduces a new feature which allows IXP members to configure route server filtering in a web-based UI. This will move the configuration complexity from the member and their router to the IXP's route servers.

Routers IXP Manager can generate router configuration for typical IXP services such as: route collectors; route servers (with IRRDB filtering); and AS112 services.
