The Integral Yoga global community includes over 5,000 Integral Yoga teachers—many of whom have become leaders in the changing paradigm of modern Yoga and healthcare, as well as founding successful programs for specific populations.

The Integral Yoga path, as taught by Sri Swami Satchidananda (Sri Gurudev), offers a synthesis of the branches of Yoga, fostering the harmonious development of every aspect of the individual. Integral Yoga sadhana (spiritual practice) is based on six branches of classical Yoga: Hatha, Raja, Bhakti, Karma, Jnana, and Japa.

Integral Yoga Classes are fun, filled with singing and chanting, asana appropriate to each age group, and the introduction of anatomy, breath work, deep relaxation, and meditation. Most Integral Yoga centers and teachers offer classes for children.

The Integral Yoga system includes principles and practices for people of various tastes, temperaments, beliefs and capacities. It’s an all-embracing system aimed at peace for the individual—through the six branches of Yoga—and peace for the world by promoting interfaith understanding and harmony.

Swami Ramananda is the Executive Director of the Integral Yoga Institute in San Francisco and a greatly respected senior teacher in the Integral Yoga tradition, who has been practicing Yoga for over 45 years.
