I've called the IRS twice, and they say all of my information is correct, and there are no unresolved issues, so they can't find a reason why it shouldn't be working.

2020年11月28日 · IRS DRT (Data Retrieval Tool) works like 7/10 times for me. If it doesn't work, grab a copy of your 2018 taxes (IRS Form 1040) to complete it manually. If you used TurboTax, get the PDF online. If you used a preparer, ask them to email you a PDF.

I went on IRS.gov and pulled up my 2016 Tax Return transcript and am using the exact address on the transcript, but I keep getting this message: We are unable to provide you with your Federal Income Tax Information.

I understand that the 2024-2025 FAFSA form no longer has the IRS Data Retrieval tool (DRT) and now extracts financials directly from the IRS. My only problem is I can't find the "Consent and Approval To Retrieve and Disclose Federal Tax Information" while trying to make a correction to the Parent financial section 2024-2025 form.
