2018年8月21日 · Lonset is 30 (?) slats that sit in rubber cups on a frame you assemble. The frame them sits on the metal brackets of the bed. It sits noticeably higher off the bed frame with the lonset. I will likely move the brackets the slats sit on down to the middle set of holes on the bed frame as the mattress now sits above the bed frame rails.

2016年7月21日 · I had the exact same problem (Malm bed, sagging mattress in the middle) and also theorized that upgrading the slats to the more expensive Luroy would help. As luck would have it, I was able to find Luroy in the AS-IS section for only $20 and installed it immediately.

If you’ve got a larger bed frame with a mid-beam, the new bed frame may not have that in which case you’d have nothing to support the slats. Also, IKEA has multiple versions of slats. The basic ones use a pin to hold them in place which may not exist on a new frame. The more expensive IKEA slats are in a frame and don’t require the pin.

Lol the slats you linked are for a toddler bed, it's the next size up from Crib. To answer your question, it doesn't really matter; 90% of people go with Luroy. Lonset are a bit less firm, but the real selling point (IMO) is that they are built into a frame so the might move around less.

2022年4月21日 · Essentially, I wanted a bed platform that would sit INSIDE my wooden bed frame, without actually being attached to it, and support the mattress by itself. I found a heavy duty metal bed frame on Amazon with NINE feet and a bunch of wooden slats across the middle.

2023年5月1日 · I suspect you're missing the little nubs which are supposed to stick up from the rails and hold the slats in place. If it's set up correctly, the straps that hold the slats together will be under slight tension, so the slats can barely move at all. With those in place and with the correct slats for the bed, they shouldn't be able to fall off.

2020年7月19日 · There are different beds like platform beds that have no slats and don't use a box spring - they look nice, but can develop mold too. edit: The slats hold the mattress in the frame with ikea beds too. Otherwise, you would lay on the bed and it would sag in the middle. Or, you might wake up on the floor because the mattress fell through the frame.
