2022年7月7日 · You are going to get many conflicting answers on Hwy 12 - some love it; some avoid it. Some that avoid it have never done the drive. We're ones who absolutely love it and have done it a few times - both directions with our 33' 5th wheel and also our 40' motorhome towing the Jeep. Folks will mention the "Hogback" section.

2012年2月25日 · HWY 12 is a great way to travel over the Cascades. Trucks and RV's use it all the time. While it is not a 4 lane I-90, the road is great. If you come across some areas of winter damage that is being repaired just slow down a tad and everything will be fine. The east side drops down slowly and the views are great. Bryce to Moab: 14% 4 mile grade Hwy 12 - iRV2 Forums
2019年9月18日 · I've researched Hwy 12, including YouTube, but just found out there is a 4 mile, 14% grade heading east on Hwy 12. We really want to travel this route to Moab, but I'm a little concerned about that climb in my Class A towing a car. We are about 1,000# under GCWR and this RV has the 362hp V-10 + 5 speed transmission + Tow-Haul, which works great.

2021年4月14日 · However if you are sceered of it there is a workaround when leaving Bryce instead of turning on 12 you can just cross the highway on johns valley road 22 to 62 to browns lane to Utah state 24. If you miss browns lane no problem 62 meets up with 24 a few miles up the road. Then 24 to Torrey and onward to Hanksville all good road. _____

2023年3月8日 · I've not heard of Canyon City but we've driven from Hwy 89 to Bryce to Torrey with our 40' MH. Gorgeous drive! We've also driven 24. There's a tunnel but you'll fit. Yes, on Hwy 12 you'll have some steep grades and lots of ups and downs but your MH is very capable of doing them. Get yourself the 'Mountain Directory for Truckers and RVers'.

2021年4月7日 · Then on Hwy 12 you'll have 77 miles of winding road following the beautiful river..... watch for bikers. Hwy 13 - westbound you'll have an uphill with curves. Hwy 95 - You'll have White Bird Hill which is 8 mi. south of Grangeville. It's long and steep heading south - 8 mi. of 7% with 3 runaway truck ramps. The speed for trucks is 35mph.

2020年7月11日 · Would like to travel on Hwy 12 from Kooskia, ID to Missoula, MT coming up from the Pollock, ID area. Neither RVTripWizard nor my Garmin 770 will route me on it. When I look at Montana & Idaho highway online maps it states it was built in early 60's and resurfaced in 2003. It's 28 feet wide and the speed limit is 70.
