I still can’t pronounce his name or nickname correctly. It didn’t click when I first read his nickname because I pronounce his nickname as “Rise” instead of how you first read it as “ rice” and at this point I can’t even try to start pronouncing it “Reese-and” because it sounds wrong😭

2021年5月4日 · Ok but here's my thing, did we really need to have a pronunciation of "Attor," "Naga," "Puca," "Tamlin," etc. I mean if you know how to read most of these are common sense. Other then pronouncing Lucien "Loo-see-in" & Rhysand "rye-sand," I'd like to think the readers are smart enough that this guide is unnecessary.

2022年1月18日 · I used to pronounce it Rhysand until SJM said the correct pronunciation is Reese-and. Now I can't say it any other way. You can of course think it however you want, but it's like Hermione in Harry Potter. There was such controversy on how her name was pronounced that JKR had to put a scene in the book where she says to Krum, "Her-my-oh-knee".

2019年3月6日 · I continue to pronounce it "Ris-and" and "ris" in my head. That's how I initially read it and the pronunciation guide was at the very back of the book. By the time I got there I was like, too late, he's "ris" now and forever amen.

Rhys is an actual name, not one SJM invented, so I assume Rhysand is pronounced the way you'd say Rhys (like Reese; I definitely suggest looking up an interview with the actor Matthew Rhys, for example, if you want to hear it said aloud) with an 'and' slapped at the end.

2022年8月22日 · I pronounce Rhysand as Rice-sand but I pronounce Rhys as Reece lol. I’ve tried forcing my brain to pronounce Rhysand as Reece-sand, but it simply will not! I also prefer Rice-sand to Reece-sand personally! I think it sounds more fitting for a high lord if that makes sense?
