2022年11月11日 · Ugh - I have a Quadra-fire 7100 and the glass in one of my doors just cracked. I've ordered a replacement, but it won't be here for 5-6 days, and I'd really like to run the stove during this time. I'm wondering about using cutting some sheet metal to use as a replacement.

2008年10月25日 · To make a long story short, my glass cracked on the front of my wood furnace. So it's Saturday morning and I can't get replacement glass until Monday evening. Here's my thought, on the front, run some aluminum tape across the crack. On the inside, cut a piece of gauge steel to cover the glass and tack it in place for now.

2014年1月8日 · Thanks for all of the feedback, ended up not using the pellet stove with broken glass, just seemed too risky. I ordered a piece of replacement glass from onedayglass.com (thanks for the link BrotherBart). $80 is much better than $250. Should arrive in the next day or so.

2011年1月25日 · Describe the crack. The "glass" is not a silicate product like window glass, but a high temperature ceramic. I saw a stove glass that looked cracked, but it was a aclusion (sp), fancy name for a flaw. Apparently occuring when it was poured. It did not affect the stability of the piece, just made it different.

2010年2月1日 · Englander sells the glass with the rope gasket already installed for about $100.00 so you can just pop it in easily if the bolts do not break! LOL Since this stove is 20 years old, I know the new replacement glass called Neo Ceram glass is a better formula and not a susceptible to cracking and breaking. 20 year old Whitfield glass is the same way.

2019年7月15日 · I broke two screws in my cast iron door that hold the glass in place. It is pacific energy. Seems like I can not remove old screws and need to tap and put new screws or drill and put some self tapping screws. Any advice on type of screw and what route I should go.

2014年2月2日 · The glass is missing, but other than that just a little elbow grease and some TLC should have back to form in no time. I'm starting with the doors since I need to replace the glass, and the broken pieces are a bit of a hazzard to my little ones.

2008年6月10日 · I have an older 2005 freestanding Accentra. Went to scrape the burn pot and the door latch is broken. Moving the handle up and down to lock/unlock the door does nothing. The piece inside connecting the latch to the handle has broken. I'm guessing it's a bolt that sheared off after 15 years of...

2013年10月22日 · I would love to install a tygon tube on the side as a direct reading secondary sight glass but something tells me the insurance / bldg inspector folks would have a conniption fit. Carefully unscrew the plastic sight glass (wrap a heavy rag or piece of rubber gasket material around it before applying the pliers) and the float will respond.
