To achieve this, follow these steps: * Select the rows for Heading 3 (rows 7-9), right-click and select "Group". * Repeat this step for Headings 4, 5, and 6 (rows 11-13, 15-17, and 19-21 respectively).

Is there a simple way in Excel, to make a bunch of sub-lines have the same expand/collapse feature that simply indenting a task does wen working in MS Project? For instance, in project, the below image would have a little triangle at the "Item 1" line, where you can click to show or hide the Task A-G lines.

I have an outline-style spreadsheet with several sets of grouped rows. By clicking with the mouse pointer on the "-" symbol I can collapse each group, and then expand it back again by clicking on the "+" symbol. I have not been able to find any way to do this with the keyboard, either with a built-in keybinding or a macro.

2024年4月10日 · Given that the spreadsheet has over 5000 rows, this was extremely tedious. I'd like to have a better way to accomplish this in the future. The screen print below shows the results I wanted. Rows 11 through 5019 are collapsed to show only the subtotal rows. I want to know how I can accomplish this in just a few clicks and no or minimal scrolling.

I have a set of information stored in rows and illustrated with a picture. The data and picture constitute a printable page. This data is "grouped". This pattern is repeated down the excel spreadsheet. I collapse the groups to leave a simple descriptor, but the pictures do not collapse (hide ?) with the rows.

2015年5月14日 · Well, I don't know what to tell you. I simply downloaded & opened your sample file. All I did was click the Collapse buttons. The immediate & consistent result; I'm also able to use the Hide/Show Detail commands both from the Data menu & the Data tab as well as the Levels buttons at the left end of the Grouping panel.

2024年10月8日 · The expand/collapse buttons are always displayed to the left of the row numbers and/or above the column letters, never inside the cells area. There is no built-in way to do what you want, and to create it yourself would be very complicated.
