2015年5月30日 · Since your riding season is so short, when you park the bike, part of you winterization routine should be to add fuel stabilizer to the tank, go for a ride to mix it well with the fuel, and top off the tank to minimize condensation. Turn the petcock off. Then open the carb drain screw and drain all the fuel out of the carb into a clean container.

I've tried searching the Google and on here for a step-by-step guide on carburetor removal and disassembly, but to no avail. It's likely, though, that my Google-fu is failing me.

2018年2月1日 · Next best is buying a can of Berryman Chem Dip and soaking only the metal parts for 2-7 days followed by a thorough rinse in water and blowing out every orifice with high pressure compressed air. Chem Dip will destroy rubber and plastic. Carb spray is about as effective as spit. Clean the brass float valve seat with a Q-tip dipped in metal polish.

2012年9月16日 · I used a fishing line to clean all holes in all the jets, though all the holes seemed clean. Before the cleaning, I sprayed CRC Clean-R-Carb carb cleaner on all the parts, and let the jets sit in a small puddle of carb cleaner for 15 minutes. I have not shown all details because others in the forum have explained how to disassemble a carb.

2018年6月30日 · 2006 Rebel 250 that sat for a couple years with fuel in the tank. Replaced spark plugs, air filter, and oil before realizing I probably need to clean the carburetor before the thing will start. Will I need to replace the oil again afterward? This will be my first carburetor disassembly/cleaning, so I'd like to make sure to cross all of my t's.
