We have never been on a more nerve-wracking, intimidating, rocky, narrow, uneven road that provided so much entertainment as well as a beautiful view of Lake Superior. We read how bad the roads were, but the trip was worth it.

2016年9月11日 · Nice rocky shoreline to walk, the Keweenaw Rocket Range is here, and there are always surprises. We saw an eagle helping its eagelette learn to fly, found an outdoor toilet (no I don't mean an outhouse-it was a box with a toilet seat on it), and lots of breach stones.

High Rock Bay is located about as close to Keweenaw Point as you can go. To get here isn't easy. A high clearance vehicle and taking it slow are almost mandatory before starting the trek from US-41 to Mandan Rd. High Rock is a great place to walk along the rocky shore and have a picnic. It always amazes me when cars make it down there. I had been there in the past and thoroughly enjoyed it.

2013年8月5日 · In mid-2013 Jacob decided to try for a long-planned hike, a full circle around the point of the Keweenaw. Starting east of Horseshoe Harbor he followed the shoreline all the way past the Keweenaw Rocket Range, along High Rock Point and Keweenaw Point, and made it to Keystone Bay before looping back up East Bluff.
