In my preferred language settings, only English was present. I added French and then selected "Display MS Edge in this language". Upon restarting Edge, the news posts were displaying Belgian French-speaking news article. Hurrah, that did it. However, all Edge menu were now in French and .... I wanted to keep EN.

The News Feed is the Number one reason for the people I know refusing the switch to Old Edge. It will cripple the initial adoption of New Edge when it eventually released to market.
