The Hemkunt lake is a serene lake at a height of 15000 feet. It is a sacred lake for the Sikh community. A Dip (snan) in the lakes freezing water is a must for all pilgrims. We were lucky to have bright sunshine on our visit and the Snan went off without us freezing.
