Hatchbox Wood PLA w/ P1S 0.6mm / Generic PLA Settings?
The wood in the PLA seems to absorb moisture a lot so I would dry the filament as long as possible, for example I dried all of my Wood filled PLA at 45C for basically an entire day. After that I just used the generic PLA settings in Bambu Slicer and that worked for me.

2023年12月28日 · Filled filaments like wood pla, rock pla, and the various carbon fibre mixtures are notorious for clogging the .4 nozzels. I haven't used wood pla myself but when I printed rock pla recently I just went with the default pla profile and it turned out great. The actual polymer you need to melt is pla and the rest is fill so it should work out fine.

2018年11月5日 · Recently I went through a few spools of Wood PLA on one of my new Prusa i3 Mk2s'. Over time I noticed stringing getting progressively worse, but was all able to easily be cleaned up. Wood PLA is inherently stringy. After the 3rd kg of Wood PLA, I began noticing a significant drop in quality, with pitting AND zits on the side surfaces of my prints!

2023年8月8日 · Ive used the Hatchbox wood PLA and it prints very well for the Gaming Table project i used it on. Worked on the Generic PLA profile fine, i just slowed it down as the prints were a wooden plank printed on their thin side. Just remember though your printers room will smell like a campfire after :)

2018年8月16日 · Perhaps using a lower temp e.g. 195C is a good starting point for wood PLA in general. I'm using a MP Select v2 and MP light wood PLA. Had bad stringing problems at 205C, working well now at 195C. Also printing a bit faster than I normally do at 45 mm/sec, as I saw some advice about not keeping the PLA hot for too long.

2016年12月13日 · Speaking of, how did you get the grain? I've been using ColorFabb woodfill and it works wonderfully, but the closest I've been getting to wood grain is just due to the layers or lines being visible. Feels like wood, works like wood, but looks like a really consistent piece of birch plywood. Treefrog sample.

I printed basically nonstop with Hatchbox Wood PLA before Christmas for almost two weeks (customized picture frames for the family) on my Maker Select without a single failure. My roll is pretty much gone. Here's everything of note: 185 Extrusion Temp, 50 Bed Temp High retraction - 4.0 for me, I think 60 mm/s speed.

2019年3月2日 · I've heard rave reviews about hatchbox wood pla, but I cant get it to print to save my life. My normal pla settings are a 0.4mm nozzle, 60mm/s speed, and between 0.06 and 0.2mm layer height. Those settings don't work with this filament, so I swapped to a 0.5mm nozzle with no difference, then to 0.6mm, and now I'm on a 0.8mm nozzle.
