2016年5月27日 · The Harbeth P3ESR speakers currently being driven by my vintage Yamaha CA-810 integrated amp, and fed by my Yamaha CT-810 FM tuner and vintage Sony PS2251 direct drive turntable sound astonishingly good - revelatory sometimes - at SPLs in my barely medium size room anywhere up to 70 dB average or so.

The following models have been upgraded; P3ESR - P3ESR XD2 loudspeaker - Harbeth ; C7ES3 - C7ES-3 XD2 loudspeaker - Harbeth ; M30.3 - M30.3 XD2 loudspeaker - Harbeth ; SHL5+ - SHL5plus XD2 loudspeaker - Harbeth ; Noticeably absent is the M40.5 but maybe that is later in the pipeline.

2023年7月20日 · I had a chance to do a comparison test of the Harbeth XD 30.2, SHL5 Plus XD, and P3ESR at Fidelis audio in New Hampshire recently. I’ve listened to the various models at shows from time to time, but this was my first chance to compare all three of the current models at the same time in the same place. Fidelis is the national importer of Harbeth.

2011年9月2日 · Just got them in Steve. Full review to follow. However, they do have surprising bass weight, and while they share the BBC midrange clarity, (Shaw is an ex BBC guy and did all of the measurements for the development of the P3ESR's at the BBC) they are more resolving on top than the LS3/5a without being etched and I'm driving them just fine with my 25 wpc Decware Zen Torii EL34 amp.

2018年2月9日 · This allowed me to instantaneously switch between the P3ESR’s and the M30.1’s. The Harbeth signature sound is present on both speakers. The P3ESR have a slightly smaller sound however that may be due to the difference in efficiency which makes the M30.1 play slightly louder (83.5dB/1W/1m for the P3ESR vs 85dB/1W/1m for the M30.1).

2023年8月1日 · I had P3ESR's (not XD), and traded them for something else because they sounded broken on albums like Led Zeppelin II, King's X Dogman, etc. ... to me, they are not hard rock/metal speakers, really. Which is a shame, because they're wonderful for most other musics.
