2010年3月28日 · The history of Case stainless is even murkier than its current status. There is some belief that, prior to the disappearance of 440C, Case, like most quality makers, used it. It was hard to sharpen, but should have been pretty good at holding an edge. I think the Case shark series lockbacks were introduced in the 70s, during the heyday of 440C.

2013年4月20日 · I wouldn't call this a "fancy" color. It (the Hammerhead) has scales made of some synthetic. It may be phenolic, the same as is used on most of Buck's 100 series fixed blades. Over all it's nice (except for the blade wobble) and is both lighter and thinner than the 110.

Personally ,(and I might get slammed for it) I like Case pocket knives better and Buck hunting knives better. The lock backs of Case(mako, hammerhead, sharktooth) do not compare imho to the Buck 110. I like the thicker blade of the 110 and the handle just feels right.

2019年4月18日 · I prefer the Buck 110 due to the ergonomics of the handle - just the right size (not too thin - as is the Hammerhead and old Gerber Sportsman) or as blocky as the old Schrade LB7. Buck did it first and got it right first - the others work fine, but not quite as comfortable in the hand over the longhaul IMO as the Buck 110.
