The Museum of HP Calculators displays and describes Hewlett-Packard calculators introduced from 1968 to 1986 plus a few interesting later models. There are also sections on calculating machines and slide rules as well as sections for buying and selling HP calculators, an HP timeline, collecting information and a software library.

I tried to use the newRPL virtual calculator from HP 39 but I do not know if it is useful to transfer the files to the physical calculator or how it is done.

Nov 13, 2024 · So one time I have got my hands on an engineering calculator, it broke pretty soon (it was very old and from a noname company) it ignited my interest in advanced calcs, just like that after searching and reading lots of pages of information about lots of models, I decided I need one - the best option was the cheapest graphing calculator - HP 39GS famous for surplus ones for 2100 roubles (~21$).

I've read that Emu48+ supports HP-39G+, and since the 39gs has similar (or even identical) hardware, I guess it should be possible. Unfortunately I've found no way so far to convert the 39gs/40gs ROM updates (which can be found at hpcalc.org) to the usual Emu48 emulator ROM format - all conversion programs I've tried are failing with this *.bin ...

Since HP-39gs was beaten by Ti calculators especially in the Chinese education market, millions of package-less unused unit came out as e-garbage, you can purchase as many as you want for only about 8~15$ per unit (including shipping in China) on taobao, this modification might be extremely useful!
