2005年12月18日 · Your H4895 is 94 on the burn chart, IMR4895 is 96 on the burn chart. I've got one pound of the IMR I was going to use. But until I've got more of it I don't want to do load development on 1lbs of powder (308). I think you would be fine to develop loads with the IMR. Maybe some one with QL can chim in with some numbers.
H4895 for a 308 | Sniper's Hide Forum
2012年6月14日 · H4895 is a great powder for a .308. I would rate Varget, H4895 and IMR 4064 as my top three choices. The H part of H4895 indicates that it is a extreme line series powder made by Hogdon. This means it is temp stable, a common complaint of RE15 powder. Work up a load, I have found good velocity with a accuracy.

2020年3月24日 · Tried the H4895 out today with 168 SMK's and my gun definitely likes it better than varget and 4064. It's a little faster than those 2 powders also. With a charge of 41.6 and 42 GRS of H4895 put me at 2670FPS with SD's in the single digits and dam near shot one hole groups. Tested with Lab Radar.

H4895 with .223 77 gr SMK | Sniper's Hide Forum
2013年5月18日 · Looking at the Hodgdon website it says 20.0gr -22.6gr max for H4895 powder for 77 SMK. However I also have a Sierra "manual" specific for AR15 reloading (.pdf I downloaded) that calls out loads of H4895 of 22.2gr - 23.6gr max for the 77 SMK. It is not as great a difference for the Varget (Hodgdon says 21.0 gr-23.7 gr and Sierra says 22.6 gr-23. ...

2010年12月13日 · Re: What Alliant powder is close to H4895 RL15 works fine in the M1A. Its burn rate is similar to IMR 4064, which had been a go to powder for the heavier bullets (ie 180-190s) in the M1 and M1A for many decades when those guns were used in HP shooting. My M1A NM shoots the 168/175s better with RL15 than with 4895.

Not sure what your using for a powder measure but it was my experience that IMR 4895 flowed the best through the modifed (polished)Dillon measure = +/- .1 grns.

2012年4月11日 · I'm playing with 165g Nosler BTs and H4895 powder out of a 308 Winchester (Remington SPS-T) whose barrel has been cut to 18". It's going to be my hunting load. I started out testing near maximum loads (43.5g) per Hodgdon's site. Today I completed my third test, and have quite literally blown right past their recommended charge weights.
