Captain Marvelous (Ryota Ozawa) is Gokai Red in Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger. He was given the Ranger Keys by AkaRed, these keys allow him to change into past Rangers, often Red Rangers.

There are also keys for the fused Ranger Keys: the Go-On Wings Key (a hybrid of Go-On Gold and Go-On Silver), the Gokai Christmas Key (a hybrid of Gokai Red and Gokai Green) and the Gold Anchor Key (a fusion of all 15 Sixth Rangers).

Gokai Red calls in the Gokai Galleon and launches the four Gokai Machines to take out two of the Zugormin. The Gokaigers then combine their Gokai Machines to form Gokaioh, taking out both the last Zugormin and Bongan with the student watching.

He is the loyal and honorable captain of the Gokaigers and can transform into Gokai Red. Before the events of the series, he recruited all of his friends he met on his way into his pirate crew. Always sparkling, Marvelous is a "wild man".

He is the young Captain of the Gokai Galleon who becomes Gokai Red. Marvelous was originally a resident of a planet invaded by the Zangyack before turning to piracy. While raiding a Zangyack treasure depository, Marvelous found a Aka Ranger Key and encountered Aka Red.
