In a career spanning over five decades on screen and stage, she has received numerous accolades, including three Primetime Emmy Awards, three Tony Awards and three Golden Globe Awards, in addition to nominations for eight Academy Awards, two BAFTA Awards, and three Grammy Awards.

Close starred on the hit Drama series Damages (2007) for which she has won a Golden Globe Award and two Emmy Awards. In her career Close has been Oscar nominated eight times, won three Tonys, an Obie, three Emmys, two Golden Globes and a Screen Actors Guild Award.

Glenn Close is an American actress, screenwriter and film producer with an extensive career in film, television, and stage work. She began her professional career in 1974 with a role in the stage play Love for Love and was mostly a stage actress in New York until the early 1980s.
