Gibson Explorer (current standard model) | The Gear Page
2023年5月12日 · I've been toying with the idea of picking up a Gibson Explorer. My heart wants to go with a '58 Korina reissue, but I know I won't use it enough to justify the $10k price tag. I've been thinking about maybe picking up a standard model Explorer (antique natural) and then possibly upgrading the...
Gibson 70's Explorer Review - The Gear Page
2020年6月14日 · As a James Hetfield fan, a Gibson Explorer in glorious Classic White finish has been a “dream” guitar of mine for many years. I am also a huge fan of certain Norlin era Gibsons, (namely 78 - 81 Les Paul Customs), so I was very interested when Gibson introduced the 70’s Classic Explorer.
Explorer vs Les Paul - The Gear Page
2021年9月22日 · I have an 84 Gibson Explorer and a new Epiphone Cantrell Les Paul. The LP is pretty bright and snappy like a good LP should be, but still fuller than my Epiphone 61 SG. The Explorer definitely sounds thicker and without that brightness that a maple top would provide.
Gibson Flying V/Explorer vs Gibson Les Paul | The Gear Page
2024年3月9日 · My Explorer is fairly new acquisition and it is a fun guitar but the Les Pauls are easier to play. When I got my Explorer it had some neck dive but I changed the tuner knobs from Grover Metal to Plastic and removed the tremolo wrench holder it made a big difference. I am adjusting to the Explorer and the more I play it the more I like it.
Gibson Explorer, are they all reissues. | The Gear Page
2018年4月24日 · late 70s - mid 80s- heavier, alder body on some, thinner necks on most, low, wide frets, explorer 84 had no pickguard and a different knob config & headstock (this is the Hetfield explorer) late 80s to now- primary is what they call the 76 reissue but it isn't like a 76 explorer, really, thinner neck, 'normal' frets, thinner headstock
Gibson Explorer - The Gear Page
2022年10月12日 · That's a beautiful looking Explorer. Unfortunately, I just couldn't justify the expense of a Gibson so I recently bought a new Epiphone Explorer instead. I love it and it will be getting a 498T/490R set of Gibson pickups. An Explorer isn't the most comfortable or practical of guitar shapes, but it's certainly the coolest!

2008年10月14日 · You can get an USA Explorer or Explorer Pro on ebay or retail from $900 to $1200. I believe all Explorers now have the 496R/500T combination. If you're looking for a USA Hamer Standard or Dean Z, plan on spending around $2000 You could go for an import Hamer Standard or Dean Z in the neighborhood of $600 which if they're made in Korea, are ...
Gibson Explorer advice - The Gear Page
2024年5月28日 · I owned a 2011 Gibson Explorer for a long time, stupidely sold it during COVID, and I recently got a great 2020 Epiphone Explorer. The Explorer is a big guitar, especially a long one. There are lighter than you might think, and super confortable, sitted or standing up. The ergonomics of this design are surprisng.
Gibson Explorer vs Flying V - The Gear Page
2018年8月19日 · Both. And yes, they're great for all kinds of music. Heavy metal wasn't invented in 1958. Ask Lonnie Mack. Seriously, my pet peeve is saving these great instruments from the all-too-common view that they're HM guitars. I use mine for classic rock and blues. Just played some ZZtop tribute gigs using my Explorer.
Ibanez Destroyer vs Gibson Explorer - The Gear Page
2023年2月20日 · But to address your question best I can, I owned an 82 DT50 about 20 years ago. That one was made of Alder. I played in a band with a guy at the time that had a Epiphone Korina Explorer, and we both used the same type Bogner preamp. We noticed when we did a live multitrack demo once, the Ibanez & the Explorer were pretty well matched in tone.
