We are artists and spouses energized by the Earth and creation. We explore the intersections and boundaries of tension, where wonder is revealed. We work together at the intertwining of art, Earth, spirit, and through metaphor, symbol, color, and form, telling the stories we discover.

Through our art and workshops, we create a space for community, spirituality and social change. In the face of current world issues, and with our planet earth in profound peril, we cultivate places where creativity, dialogue, and hospitality can begin to nurture seeds of understanding.

Art + Earth + Spirit IRELAND + SCOTLAND. Our time spent in the ancient Celtic world has helped us develop a language of shape, form and color to reach into the landscape of the earth and deeper, into our silence, to touch where Spirit takes form.

The mystical references drew us to the creation story and garden paradise narratives of Genesis, seeing God as creative author. We were also inspired by John’s proclamation in his Book of Revelation of a new vision and imagining of the heavenly city breaking into this world.

We seek to Engage + Inspire + Create in the communities where that art will live. We trust that creativity, divinely embedded in the human spirit, is always within reach. Coming together to paint a mural or canvas draws out the spirit that connects us.

Our Genesis+Art Story. It’s all there in our work. We are energized by the Earth and creation. Everything we do and look at and everything we touch, gets inside us and as artists it comes out in the work that we produce, no matter what kind of art it is.

We tend to think of our art as the harvest of the lives we are living. We feel destined to paint, but more so, we paint to help bring reconciliation and peace into the world. We make our home and studio in the St. Croix River Valley where it forms a border with Wisconsin and Minnesota.
