Design and Construction of a Portable Gantry Hoist
This report covers the design of a portable gantry hoist with a custom frame design. The design was based off of the materials that were available and practical for this project to save money. The portable gantry hoist will be rated for a 2 ton capacity.
For this case study, a gantry crane will be defined as a portable gantry crane which is a gantry crane that runs on casters or rubber wheels that is not affixed to a rail system. The objectives of this case study are as follows:

Chioma di Ulivo - Courtyard Canopy
Chioma di Ulivo ("Olive Tree Canopy") is the investigation and design of a canopy structure in the Engineering West (Bldg. 21) Hasslein Courtyard. In this paper, a CubeSat frame was redesigned to account for the structural loads induced during launch and the thermal loads induced when beam charging.
