The RGM-79 GM (ジム, Jimu?) (aka GM, pronounced Jim) was the first mass-produced mobile suit of the Earth Federation. It was introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Gundam.

The RMS-179 GM II (aka RGM-79R GM II or RGM-82 GM II[1]) is a mass-production general-purpose mobile suit introduced in the anime Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam. Its design was later updated for the Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn novel and OVA.

The RGM-79 GM is a mass-produced mobile suit based on the RX-78 (G)E Gundam EX. It features better overall performance than Zeon's Zaku II series [2] while reducing its production cost by using less durable Titanium Alloy as body armor, and the less powerful but still effective Beam Spray Gun in place of a Beam Rifle.

The forearm-mounted beam saber, the colors, the aesthetics, everything is top tier. The GM Thunderbolt Ver is a great example of the versatility of it despite being a grunt suit.
