There will be Rent, Buy, or Subscribe messaging below the titles that isn't free to the customer.

Dec 6, 2024 · Everything I've read about Amazon's decision to shut down Freevee says that the free content will still be free, just via Amazon Prime. But in one case, "Person of Interest" which has been on Freevee is now only available for purchase on Amazon Prime for $2.99 per episode.

May 20, 2022 · Amazon Digital and Device Forum United States. @mark2b. Thanks, when I go to the book in a Web browser it looks like the screenshot above -- there's a "Read For Free" link, but that only takes me to a splash page for Kindle Unlimited.

If so, the free year converts to a paid subscription. If it's not a Kids Edition, and it was not bundled with that service, then someone using a device on your account subscribed. If you don't want it, cancel the subscription.

May 31, 2024 · As the distributors/rights holders are good Americans (capitalists) they want to get the most money out of their property as possible, so they go with whichever option gives the most return (Hint: it isn't Free on Prime)
