Personaly, I didnt have to read any of the bashings to know that the fram oil filter quality just aint good. Out of all the filters I've used, Fram was by far the worst. Note: I've never cut one open.

2013年12月9日 · Fram oil filters were never as bad as they have been made out to be here. You don't see either gasket weeps or torn media with Frams, for example. Use it with confidence. Brand P was always touted here as a better value, with steel end caps and all until someone discoverd the torn media horror.

2012年11月22日 · I was able to see the sheet from when WM TLE switched over from the Fram Pro filters to the Fram Core filters a few years back. It said the e-core was rated at 94% efficiency and was good for 7000 miles. Interestingly, the stickers they use still have a 3000 mile return.

2024年9月9日 · Maybe if Fram reads this forum they will put the gasket back on the end. It’s good it has become a topic with many responses. They also can go back to holes in the center and stop fixing what isn’t broken. I couldn’t say what is better among the Fram offerings, it’s up to you.

2023年11月4日 · All oil filters have some kind of center tube, regardless of what kind of end caps are used. It's not the end caps job to "hold up" the filter. The function of the end caps is to provide a sealing surface for the pleat ends and the area around the center tube on the end caps.
