Foy (pronounced [fwa]) is a village of Wallonia in the municipality of Bastogne, district of Noville, located in the province of Luxembourg in the Ardennes, Belgium. Foy is in the Ardennes Forest region, an area of more than 11,000 square kilometers.

In difficult weather conditions on 13 January 1945, the 506th PIR attacked Foy, which was still occupied by German troops. Company ‘E’ and ‘I’ were tasked with leading the assault on the village under covering fire to definitively repel the enemy out, once and for all.

2017年1月7日 · During the Battle of the Bulge Easy Company of the 101st Airborne Division dug in near the German occupied town of Foy in Jack’s Forrest. But before they were in action during Market Garden and parachuted on the city of Son in the Netherlands on 17 September 1944.

2015年12月12日 · Stephen Ambrose’s Band of Brothers describes how its Easy Company of the 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment led the assault to capture the town in January 1945. The 506th, including E Company, commanded by Lieutenant Norman Dike, attacked Foy. They lost several men in the initial charge.

6. Foy. Drive to the outskirts of northern Bastogne to visit the town of Foy. This is where the Easy Company fought after General George Patton broke through with his tanks to relieve them from their post at Bastogne. In the Band of Brothers series, the seventh episode covers the battle for Foy, which took place in January of 1945.

Easy Company was to lead the attack on Foy, commanded by Lieutenant Dike. The plan was to charge across a 200 metre snow-covered field to reach the village and, using hand grenades, clear the buildings of any Germans. 22

“Band of Brothers” was the famous name given to Company E, 2nd Battalion, US 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment. They fought during the Ardennes Offensive (also known as the Battle of the Bulge) in the winter of 1944 to 45. On 13 January 1945, the Fontaine Woods overlooking the village of Foy in Bastogne, was the frontline for the men of Company E.

Bois Jacques is located in the small village of Foy, not far from Bastogne. It still bears the traces of the fighting that took place there during the Battle of the Bulge. The “Easy Company” men dug the holes of “fusiliers” or fox holes.
