2006年1月3日 · My '59 Edsel wagon had a Five on 4.5 inch bolt circle. This was the standard "small" Ford bolt pattern from the late 1950's through the 1980's (or later?)...the Ford pick-up used a larger pattern. Where did you find your Villager ?

You could take a Ford retractible, bolt on the Edsel front clip, and use the Edsel station wagon tail lights and rear fender chrome which were made to fit the Ford rear fenders. Then you would have to swap out the dash board, interior, and possibly engine.

It would appear that the transmission unit itself should be compatible between Ford/Mercury/Edsel, through 1958. 2008年12月22日 · Thanks for the input . . . the differential has the "small Ford" backing plate pattern . . . so would probably be wise for me to find a set of later Ford backing plates and drums - replacing the existing Ford/Edsel (whichever they are) backing plates.
