Flumpet – designed by David Monette for Art Farmer. It is a cross between a trumpet and a flugelhorn. Decorated Flumpet – Monette B7 F (F for Farmer) designed by David Monette and his staff for Art Farmer. Art Farmer started performing on the flumpet in 1991. His original instrument is stored at the Monette shop.

The Flumpet is near flawless and looks almost brand new. The valve slides and buttons were re-plated recently and the Monette case is also very new. This particular flumpet was designed with Art Farmer's actual horn specs and the tone is more rich, creamy, warm and thick than the average Flumpet.
