Shane Steven Filan [1] (born 5 July 1979) is an Irish singer best known as a member of the pop vocal group Westlife, which was formed in 1998, disbanded in 2012, and regrouped in 2018. Westlife has released thirteen albums, embarked on twelve world tours, and won several awards, becoming one of the most successful musical groups of all time.

Shane Steven Filan (born July 5, 1979) is one of the lead singers in the Irish pop band Westlife. Filan is one of the five original Westlife members, along with other current members Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Nicky Byrne and former member Brian McFadden.

Shane Filan was born on 5 July 1979 in Sligo, Ireland. He is an actor and composer, known for Playboy Adventures (2006), Ronan Keating & Emeli Sandé: One of a Kind (2020) and Postman Pat: The Movie (2014). He has been married to Gillian Walsh since 28 December 2003. They have three children.
