Jun 6, 2006 · While the cost of the bass and upgrades brings me into the cost range of a USA model, and some may say why, this bass is Numero Uno out of the few I have. I prefer it over the USA QMT Jazz Deluxe I just picked up , and that is a sahweeet bass. Dig thru the USA's and the MIM or the CIJ basses and you'll know when you find the one.

Oct 4, 2024 · The neck is a 2002 Fender MIM Jazz bass neck, but the body is an early 2000s Squier Standard Precision Special. It’s got 500k pots, and aftermarket Fender American style bridge and I think aftermarket pickups, as well as an aftermarket pickguard because the shoreline gold Squiers came with white guards from the factory.

Feb 21, 2002 · I recently had my vintage Fender reissue bass refretted and the luthier replaced the nut too. The nut height now gets gradually lower from around 0.03 on the E string to 0.01 on the G string. Is this normal? Watching a few YT videos they usually set them up pretty even, at around 0.02 on all strings.

Feb 13, 2022 · The answer to your question is likely different for everyone. For me, no it is not worth the cost. There are tons of great basses that cost much less than the American Fender but give up nothing in terms of build quality. If I was looking at American Fender basses, I would be considering used models from between 2008 and 2015.
