2020年12月18日 · Fan hubs and splitters do the same thing, but there are a few differences. A fan splitter will split a fan header into two or three headers, and is not externally powered. A fan hub usually supports more fans than a splitter, but has to be powered by a SATA cable. That might make it more difficult to cable manage depending on your case.

2020年12月31日 · What no one seems to talk about is investing in splitter cables or daisy-chainable fans for builds which use a number of fans. I have 9 fans including the CPU fan. What no one talked about is that motherboards only have so many fan ports, mine had 6 including a CPU and Pump port. While 3 of my fans came with a splitter, the other 9 did not.

2021年1月3日 · If you're using a splitter, definitely stay under the motherboard header amperage rating (e.g. 3 fans @ 0.2A each, fan header at 1.0A, 0.6A < 1.0A you're good!). Make sure you apply electrical tape to any exposed fan header! For a number of years I had no problem using fan splitters and fan hubs that were externally sata powered.

2023年5月13日 · The thermalright looks like it had 1 pwn and one dc 3 pin splitter and the nr200p splitter has two 3 pin and 1 pwm. At the moment there will be 4 fans 2 cpu fans and 2 top chassis fans, I will maybe be adding 2 bottom intake fans in the future when i decide what gpu i will getting and if have enough clearance for them.

2016年2月14日 · With a fan splitter, the motherboard can still direct the fans to speed up when needed, but it's going to direct both of them at once. Had you multiple connections, it would (especially if you set the fan curves yourself) give different orders to different fans depending on the need at the moment.

2023年1月11日 · A fan hub will allow more fans than a splitter but from what I've seen they have the same behavior. A fan controller has it's own power and you can control every single fan individually through the BIOS or software.

2018年4月5日 · Since the splitter is wiring your fans all in a parallel circuit, all your fans will receive the required 12V. The amps is what you need to be aware of. Look on the box for your fans, it should give you the amp rating (generally .15-.2A area).

2020年9月15日 · Unless you are talking about Corsair Command pro such have it's own fan curve control. Fan hubs mainly prevent mobo header from current overloading. Each fan header can provide 1-2A limit (should be stated clearly in the manual) while each fan draws 0.2-0.4A at full load. So when connecting more than 3 fans to a single header, I'll prefer fan hub.

In my case, I connect 2x Scythe kaze flex slim using 1-2 fan splitter to 1st chasis fan header, and 2x Arctic P12s using another fan splitter to the 2nd chasis fan header
