My underworks binder from 11 years ago flattens me better than any binder from an ftm-marketed company. But yes, stiff, and yes, takes a hot minute for it to stop being itchy. I’ve bought binders from a few companies over the years(g2cb, spectrum, some random ebay brand) and all of them have fallen apart and not compressed as much.

thanks for this review! im currently looking at the spectrum light binder and was wondering about the sizing as i measured between sizes for the light binder compared to being a S for the short binder. but it doesn't sound too different so i think i'll just go with the larger rib measurement for the times ill be more active in it.

Underworks binders work the same as any other binder. Use common sense (if it hurts or you have trouble breathing take it off), take break days where you don't bind, and get one that fits properly. With new binders of ANY brand consider stretching it over the back of a chair overnight to break it in before you wear it.

Large is relative but it isn’t a great binder for DD or larger because the binding panel is short and the arm holes are large. But that was just my experience. If you’re going for better binding, Underworks is probably the way to go.

Well, there are multiple different options. Underworks offers what it markets as a swim top, which is looser than a normal binder - so that the compression doesn't cause you any issue during the physical activity of swimming - and it zips up, but it's black so depending on what you wear over it, it'll potentially be noticeable.
