What's curious is that my version of FCE was current with the keyboard I use, so I wonder why the F9 key doesn't do what the manual says it should. Again, (with a tip from Tom Wolsky) I've discovered that +F9 will do the desired insert.

I don't use the F keys on my Touchbar, however— it appears the F9 is an advance key—which you would have to be using the appropriate interface to have it active... 2010年10月10日 · While holding fn, the "louder" volume key will act as F12 and bring up Dashboard. The "fast forward" key will function as F9 and trigger Exposé. If you have checked Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys in the keyboard system preferences, then you can temporarily access the media keys by holding the fn key while pressing them.

2017年11月29日 · When I hit the globe keyboard key, only Emoji's are provided. There needs to be a pop-up row of F1-F12 function keys to make this a complete keyboard solution. Apple please make the F1-F12 keys available. I'm using the US English keyboard (defaults). Thanks. Mike

2007年10月10日 · For the life of me, I can not adjust the screen brightness using either the F9 or F10 keys. I have to go into System Preference>Displays and then use the brightness slider to adjust it higher or lower. The "Automatically adjust brightness" button is unchecked. Not having functional F9/F10 Keys is very annoying.

2020年9月16日 · F9 / play key opens Apple Music (the iTunes successor). I was expecting to find this setting in system preferences>keyboard>Shortcuts somewhere. Any thoughts? Is there no other way than to use this Automator-instruction?
