I just attended the New England Boat Show in Boston Feb. 18, 2009 and around half of the outboard boats on exhibit were sporting BRP motors, including the twin motors on the Massachusetts Environmental Police boat.

2011年12月31日 · Re: Flywheel puller for multiple Johnson outboard motors. All you need is a cheap puller like this. Then go to the hardware store and get grade 8 bolts for it. (They wont come with it.) The ones that come with it will bust under stress. I have used this one on quite an array of motors, always done the trick.

2010年4月7日 · Followed with an 88 Evinrude 50 No issues till a major tuneup in 2009. By the way I ended up with that 65 Merc 500 that mans family sold to me about 5 years ago.It is still running strong even after sitting for about 7 years. We had a 61 18 Evinrude for 6 years ridden hard and put away wet no issues except those related to poor care.

Model # starts with a "T", but all else is the same as standard J / E motors. I guess if you bought motors by the thousands, you could have them any color you want, too.

2009年7月11日 · Re: Mid to late 1960's Evinrude Fastwin 18,...are they good motors? the old 18's are great! grab it. It will do well on a boat rated for 25. In fact the old 33 was an 18 with a bigger carb, or so i was told. You don't need electric start on it either so bypass it and save some weight. Keep the 9.9. A guy can't have too many motors.
