Essra Mohawk (/ ˈ ɛ s r ə /; born Sandra Elayne Hurvitz; April 23, 1948 – December 11, 2023) was an American singer-songwriter who recorded a dozen albums. Her best-known songs include "Sufferin' Til Suffrage" and "Interjections!"

Her songs run the gamut from pop to avant garden, and in between she covers a lot of bases including rock, folk, folk rock, motown, jazz, tv jingles, rhythm and blues, and beautiful, heartfelt ballads about love and lust.

Essra Mohawk (1948-2023) was a singer and songwriter who performed the theme song vocals for "Teeny Little Superguy" on Sesame Street. Her previous children's TV work was in three Schoolhouse Rock! segments (including solos on "Sufferin' Til Suffrage" and "Interjections!")
