ERN1 - Wikipedia
The serine/threonine-protein kinase/endoribonuclease inositol-requiring enzyme 1 α (IRE1α) is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the ERN1 gene. [5][6] The protein encoded by this gene is the ER to nucleus signalling 1 protein, a human homologue of the yeast Ire1 gene product.

2024年12月25日 · ERN1 (Endoplasmic Reticulum To Nucleus Signaling 1) is a Protein Coding gene. Diseases associated with ERN1 include Epiphyseal Dysplasia, Multiple, With Early-Onset Diabetes Mellitus and Alzheimer's Disease. Among its related pathways are Alzheimer's disease and miRNA effects and Cellular responses to stimuli.
ERN1 endoplasmic reticulum to nucleus signaling 1 [ (human)]
ERN1 and ALPK1 inhibit differentiation of bi-potential tumor-initiating cells in human triple negative breast cancer. IRE1 deficiency fully restored the learning and memory capacity of AD mice, associated with improved synaptic function and improved long-term potentiation (LTP).
ERN1 endoplasmic reticulum to nucleus signaling 1
2025年2月9日 · This gene encodes the transmembrane protein kinase inositol-requiring enzyme 1. The encoded protein contains two functional catalytic domains, a serine/threonine-protein kinase domain and an endoribonuclease domain.

2025年2月9日 · Title: Inhibition of signaling protein ERN1 increases the sensitivity of serine synthesis gene expressions to glucose and glutamine deprivations in U87MG glioblastoma cells. IRE1alpha recognizes a structural motif in cholera toxin to activate an unfolded protein response.
Identification of an ERN1 target site within EGFP mRNA - PMC
Here we report that ERN1 (endoplasmic reticulum to nucleus signaling 1), which is upregulated by UPR (unfolded protein response), targets an RNA hairpin loop motif in EGFP mRNA. A silent mutation introduced into EGFP mRNA abolished the ERN1‐dependent mRNA decay.

2021年6月1日 · Here, we review the biology of Inositol-requiring enzyme 1β (IRE1β), an ER-resident endonuclease and paralogue of the most evolutionarily conserved ER stress sensor IRE1α.
ERN1: A Peculiar Regulator of the Unfolded Protein Response
2024年11月27日 · In summary, ERN1 is a key sensor in the unfolded protein response, detecting ER stress and activating transcriptional programs that restore balance in the cell. Its highly conserved role in splicing XBP1 mRNA makes it a critical regulator of cellular stress responses, highlighting its biological importance in maintaining protein homeostasis ...
