Enjin (エンジン Enjin) is the deuteragonist of Gachiakuta. He’s a member of the Cleaners as the leader of team Akuta. Enjin is a tall and slighty muscular man with spiky blond hair accompained by fades and yellow eyes with white pupils.

As Rudo begins to give the final blow, Enjin who had been watching calms him down, and offers to train Rudo in his powers if he becomes a janitor, which he declines. Enjin takes Rudo to a nearby town in the Ground to get checked up by a doctor, who is surprised Rudo is even alive.

After testing him and awakening his power as a "Giver", Enjin invites Rudo to join him as a "Cleaner". Enjin explains that the Cleaners are an organization of Givers who use the power of unique weapons known as "vital instruments" to hunt the trash beasts which attacked him.

Vital Instrument (人器, Jinki) are objects powered by thought, people who use Vital Instruments are called givers. Enjin, a Giver, awakening his Vital Instrument, Umbreaker, by giving it Anima Energy.

2024年6月12日 · The official website for the television anime adaptation of Kei Urana's Gachiakuta manga revealed the main cast, music composer, and a second teaser promo on Friday. The anime is scheduled to air on Sundays at 11:30 p.m. on CBC and TBS' Agaru Anime broadcasting slot beginning in July 2025.
