Flavour text: 'I reward an empty vessel' Item Effect: +2 Black Hearts When Isaac has no red hearts, this item gives Isaac the ability to fly and chance to trigger a shield that nullifies all types of damage for 10 seconds. As soon as Isaac has half a red heart or more, this item deactivates.

They're a rare heart pickup. Picking one up adds one bone heart container. Red heart pickups still treat it like any other red heart container you have. When you take red heart damage to a bone heart, and there is zero red heart left in that container, you instead lose that bone heart container permanently instead of taking more red damage.

2015年6月12日 · Having your heart container empty kills you anyways as well. Edit: I did a bit of research and it seems like I am right, no matter what your red hearts are, if you try and take a soul heart dwtd without enough soul hearts you will die, regardless of your red heart containers.
