And with Elodin being half Fey-which I learned was confirmed by PR, see the link that someone else shared in this thread-Elodin could be a couple centuries old. We actually see plenty of examples of how stories can get twisted, and just how quickly it happens.

Or perhaps Elodin actually wants Kvothe to fight and/or kill him, for some purpose that maybe only Elodin is aware of. Either way, I like the connection between Loki and Elodin and I think that connection holds weight.

2021年8月20日 · So when Elodin is repeating what Manet said at the Eolian he's kinda messing with Kvothe but also trying to instruct him. He wants Kvothe to realize his potential as a namer and as a listener of the wind. There's a scattering of other examples like this. Remember when Elodin exclaimed back to Kvothe, "Well that's a horse of a different color!"

My whole basis of elodin not actually being mad is in multiple encounters with him from kvothes perspective though I Don't think he realizes it telling the story elodin is acting odd by normal persons standards (strolling across rooftops, chasing floating things on the wind) he also has encounters with him where elodin comes off extremely lucid ...

2023年5月2日 · Lots of the things Elodin will try to teach him is occurring. Kvothe was just under a huge amount of pressure and fear he went into flight or fight mode his sleeping mind awoke. He wasn’t actively trying to learn the name of the wind and he was letting his sleeping mind work. Again lots of the things Elodin will try to teach Kvothe are at play.

2016年5月12日 · Elodin could have a skin dancer inside of him. The skin dancer could be old and well traveled, while Elodin is young. Consider the skin dancer in the frame story. He was inside the young lieutenant but he spoke in an old, archaic dialect. Perhaps Elodin's skin dancer is smarter and more refined. If you recall Elodin spent time in Haven.

2017年10月30日 · The Elodin/Felurian comparisons are a nice catch though. Those, plus his apparent lack of either self control or lack of awareness/respect for social norms depending on how you read him have me seeing a lot of the fae in him.
